Course objectives

 

In addition to standard DNS Exercise 1 course objectives the following topics will also be covered:

Apply DNS proper locomotor patterns to common weightlifting exercises: squat, clean, snatch, bench press and other auxiliary movements such as push-ups, rowing and plank holds.

Demonstrate how the pathological stabilizing strategy manifests in the common weightlifting movements and how many exercises and common technical cues often promote pathological stabilizing strategies.

Discuss threshold training and how it can be used to develop proper locomotor strategies in weightlifting.
