Course description

Idiopathic scoliosis is a common yet complex condition requiring a specialized, evidence-based approach. This course offers internationally recognized DNS training focused on precise assessment and individualized therapy planning. It emphasizes understanding pathophysiology, differentiating postural deviations, and managing scoliosis, including brace treatment.

DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) scoliosis therapy uses three-dimensional correction strategies that actively engage the central nervous system. Key topics include sagittal stabilization, intra-abdominal pressure regulation, and diaphragm function to support posture and enhance physical performance across age groups.

Participants will gain deep insight into the anatomy, biomechanics, and progression of scoliosis, enabling them to treat patients confidently in conservative, pre-/postoperative, and rehab settings. The course combines neurophysiological theory with hands-on practice and concludes with both theoretical and practical exams based on DNS.

Course objectives:

Pre- and post-operative physiotherapy in scoliosis

Neuromuscular scoliosis, other secondary scoliosis

DNS for scoliosis

Sport in scoliotic patients

Adult scoliosis - treatment strategies; Pregnancy, delivery in scoliosis

Practical application of corrective exercises

Patient examples (live demo and video analysis)

Theoretical and practical examination
