Course objectives Sports & Fitness Courses

 

In addition to standard DNS Exercise 1 course objectives the following topics will also be covered:

Developmental kinesiology aspects for ideal stereotype of running and other sports performance.

Biomechanics of gait and the running cycle.

The role of the diaphragm during aerobic exercise; dual postural-respiratory diaphragmatic function.

The extremities functional differentiation for running - stepping forward and supporting function for the contralateral pattern of running.

DNS exercise positions to train core stabilization as a prerequisite of the ideal running stereotype.

Biomechanical and developmental kinesiology principles for foot centration & foot orthotics and selection of optimal shoes for different type of running.

The most frequent types of musculoskeletal dysfunction resulting from non optimal running stereotype and poor methodology of training: plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, knee pain, hip pain, low back pain.

Stretching and coordination exercises from the developmental perspective in order to get ready for running; educating the runner.

PS Registration Fee: 80 EUR

Prague School registration fee helps

to support DNS scientific activities,

to collect new video/photo material,

to develop the DNS handouts and publishing activities,

to present the DNS system at the scientific congresses, and

to present the DNS concept online.

It is not a payment for the course. Please contact the local organizer to secure your enrollment in the course and make sure that the course is not full, prior to paying Prague School registration fee. Once your PS fee is completed, your registration will automatically be sent to the course organizer. After that, payment of course fees can be made with the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to request proof of licensure.

The Prague School registration fee is non-refundable.

Without your online registration and PS fee payment you will not be permitted to attend any DNS course nor will you receive the Prague School Certificate of Attendance; thus you cannot take the DNS test and you will not be allowed to register for later advanced courses.

Upon you registration and payment, you will receive an automatic email with a link to download the course notes. This email goes to the email address you provide during your payment procedure. If you do not receive this email within one hour after a payment, please contact info@rehabps.com and request the course notes. Hard copies will not be available at the host location.
