Course objectives

 

Acquisition of practical principles of developmental kinesiology with emphasis on the development of the locomotor system in the first year of life

The influence of neuromuscular development on pathological conditions in the lumbar spine region in adults

DNS functional tests to assess trunk stabilization - 'core stability' - hands on workshop under the instructor's supervision

Integration of DNS functional exercise within complex rehabilitation. Approach to adult patient with spinal stabilization dysfunction with a special focus on the lumbar region: therapy of acute and chronic radicular syndrome of the lumbar spine

Manual treatment techniques for rectus abdominis diastase, therapy of TrP chaings, correction of pathological IAP regulation

 

Modifications of DNS exercises in patients with hip and knee replacement

Treatment approach to patients after lumbar surgery

Modifications of exercises in higher developmental positions (tripod, bear, squat, half kneeling, step up)

Specific visceral and yoga techniques related to lumbar spine
