Course objectives Sports & Fitness Courses
Along with the basic course objectives of DNS Exercise 2 course the following will be covered:
Review of the common biomechanical dysfunctional patterns and the clinical and injury presentations of the Professional Surfing Athlete
Review of Surfings Unique Biomechanical loads particularly in the lower limb and the integrated use of a WSL functional neuro-orthopeadic screening protocol and DNS Tests to identify specific inefficiencies of the integrated stabilizing system
Active Exercises Based on Developmental Positions and how they relate to Surfings Unique Biomechanical and Vestibular loads and movement patterns: modifications to take into account specific sitting, paddling and stance loads as well as wave size and types so as to train the basic sport movements of Surfing
Active Exercise Prescription Based on Developmental Positions –Putting together a flow sequence of DNS Active Exercises specific for preparing the Surfing Athlete for his/her task including prehabilitation, warmup, competition and restoration
