Course objectives:
DNS Yoga 3:
Upper extremity and shoulder girdle function, kinesiology and muscle synergy
Shoulder girdle disorders, including muscle imbalances and common yoga injuries
Isolated movement patterns of the shoulder in loaded positions - closed kinetic chains
Isolated movement patterns of the shoulder in unloaded positions - open kinetic chains
Muscle synkinesis required for joint centration of shoulder/ shoulder girdle, in asanas
Linking developmental ontogenesis to asana transitions, to improve shoulder mobility and stability
Shoulder girdle function and kinesiology in basic inversions
The role of breathing and pranayama in shoulder girdle function and dysfunction
The use of pranayama in shoulder girdle rehabilitation
Flow class – review of movement patterns of shoulder / shoulder girdle for mobility and stability
DNS Yoga 4:
The foundations of physiological movement and application to asana practice.
Function, kinesiology, load transfer and muscle synkinesis of the spine
Spinal disorders, including muscle imbalances and common yoga injuries of the spine
Importance of diaphragm and pelvic floor function in spinal stability and relationship to activation of bandhas in asanas
Isolated movement patterns of the shoulder and hip girdle
Isolated movement of spinal segments and influence on spinal mobility
Kinesiology of the spine in flexion, extension and rotation asanas
Synkinesis of the muscles around the spine and the influence of open and closed kinetic chains
Linking developmental ontogenesis to asana transitions, to improve spinal mobility and stability
Load transfer in inversion asanas
Kinesiology of the ribcage and biomechanics of respiration, from a spinal rehabilitation perspective.
Role of Pranayama in spinal rehabilitation
Flow class – review of movement patterns of the spine for mobility and stability
Prague School Registration Fee
Trainers, coaches, body work therapists, exercise physiologists & kinesiologists who have done DNS A, Exercise 1 or have permission from the organizer

It is not a payment for the course. Please contact the local organizer to secure your enrollment in the course and make sure that the course is not full, prior to paying Prague School registration fee. Once your PS fee is completed, your registration will automatically be sent to the course organizer. After that, payment of course fees can be made with the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to request proof of licensure.
The Prague School registration fee is non-refundable.
Without your online registration and PS fee payment you will not be permitted to attend any DNS course nor will you receive the Prague School Certificate of Attendance; thus you cannot take the DNS test and you will not be allowed to register for later advanced courses.
