This course is for practitioners who have taken up to DNS C. It is designed to enhance your clinical skills and confidence in applying DNS principles and manual techniques specific to the lower extremity.

Course Objectives

Clinical updates and demonstrations by Prof Pavel Kolar

DNS approach to differential diagnosis of hip and knee pain

DNS active exercise in "higher" developmental positions - Refining manual skills to acheive joint centration

Developmental aspects & foot formation, influence of the CNS function on the foots structural maturation

Foot biomechanics from the developmental perspective; stepping forward, supporting function, foot function during the gait cycle

Foot and ankle functional evaluation from a developmental perspective

Functional foot centration from the developmental perspective

DNS active exercise positions to centrate the foot and to coordinate muscles in the foot region

Mobilization, relaxation and soft tissue techniques according to Lewit to normalize foot function

Foot awareness assessment and treatment (foot cortical representation training)

Typical chain reactions and types of musculoskeletal dysfunction resulting from foot dysfunction

Biomechanical and developmental kinesiology principles to prescribe foot orthotics

Functional foot centration for different types of sport performance

Self treatment techniques for foot dysfunction

 

Course Schedule

Friday & Saturday morning, with Prof Pavel Kolar:

8:30am - 12:00pm

Sarurday and Sunday, with Dr. Petra Valouchova:
1pm - 4:30pm
8am - 4:30pm

PS Registration Fee: 80 EUR

Prague School registration fee helps

to support DNS scientific activities,

to collect new video/photo material,

to develop the DNS handouts and publishing activities,

to present the DNS system at the scientific congresses, and

to present the DNS concept online.

It is not a payment for the course. Please contact the local organizer to secure your enrollment in the course and make sure that the course is not full, prior to paying Prague School registration fee. Once your PS fee is completed, your registration will automatically be sent to the course organizer. After that, payment of course fees can be made with the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to request proof of licensure.

The Prague School registration fee is non-refundable.

Without your online registration and PS fee payment you will not be permitted to attend any DNS course nor will you receive the Prague School Certificate of Attendance; thus you cannot take the DNS test and you will not be allowed to register for later advanced courses.
